What are the age relaxations applicable?

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for candidates belonging to SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen, etc.

Can candidates apply for multiple posts?

Yes, candidates can indicate their preferences for various posts within the NTPC category, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and educational qualifications for each preferred post.

Is there negative marking in the CBTs?

Yes, there will be negative marking for incorrect answers in both CBT Stage-I and Stage-II examinations. Typically, 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Are the application fees refundable?

For SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Minorities/EBC candidates, โ‚น250 of the application fee will be refunded after appearing in the First Stage CBT. For General/OBC candidates, โ‚น400 of the fee is refundable after appearing in the First Stage CBT.
